By accessing or using MetaLens (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
What the Service does
MetaLens lets you upload an image and view its metadata, including format details and any embedded EXIF, GPS, XMP and IPTC information. The Service is provided free of charge for personal and professional use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to process.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to abuse the Service in a way that degrades it for others.
- Violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
Your images and content
You retain all rights to the images you upload. As described in our privacy policy, uploaded files are processed in memory to extract metadata and are not stored. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and inspect any image you submit.
Accuracy and disclaimers
The Service reads metadata directly from the files you provide. Because metadata is created by cameras, software, and other tools that may record it incompletely or incorrectly, we cannot guarantee that every result is complete or accurate. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetaLens and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including any decisions made based on metadata results.
Third-party links and advertising
The Service may contain links to third-party sites and may display advertising. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your interactions with them are solely between you and the third party.
Changes to the Service and these terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these terms, at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
