The short version
We do not store the images you upload. Each file is processed in memory only long enough to read its metadata, and it is discarded as soon as the results are returned to your browser. We do not create accounts, and we do not sell personal data.
Images you upload
When you inspect an image, the file is sent to our server, parsed to extract its metadata, and then released from memory. It is never written to disk, never added to a database, and never retained after your request completes. We do not view, share, or use the contents of your images for any purpose beyond returning the metadata result to you.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, approximate region, and the pages you view. This information is used in aggregate to understand usage and keep the service reliable. We use privacy-conscious analytics that do not require personally identifying you.
Cookies and similar technologies
MetaLens itself does not require you to log in and uses minimal cookies for basic functionality. Third-party services described below, including advertising, may set their own cookies. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Advertising
We may display advertising provided by Google AdSense to help keep MetaLens free.
